Joseph Radske, news director at Sinclair Broadcasting's WVTV in Milwaukee, was hired Friday to take on the same position at KPTM/KXVO.
According to a press release, Radske has 22 years of experience in the TV news industry, including 10 years as executive producer for KMSP in Minneapolis. Other stations where he has worked include WTMJ in Milwaukee, WTHR in Indianapolis, WBAY in Green Bay and WITI in Milwaukee.
"(He) is uniquely prepared for the challenges of the news director's role, said KPTM/KXVO Vice President and General Manager Randy Oswald. "He has the knowledge developed as an executive producer and the right mix of skills and experience in news and management to take on the challenges of this significant position in our company. We are confident that Mr. Radske will succeed in building our news audiences and serving our viewers."
In the press release Radske said he "plans to build a successful team that will continually seek to better itself and take the news operations here to the next level."
KPTM produces one, hour-long newscast a day at 9 p.m. Its sister station on the WB network produces a half-hour newscast at 10 p.m.
Radske is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
