Great looking website? Did John Gottschalk put you up to posting that before asking you to fetch his daily cup of java???

You have GOT to be kidding...were it not for KPTM's third-rate setup, the OWH would be the worst media website in Omaha.

I did not write the post above.

Great work by KMTV on their morning-long coverage of the storm. One critical point - Mary Williams questioning NSAA head Milt Tenopir on whether or not he was a parent and if there was a concern of kids being on the road was a little out of line. Most of these teams are already in Lincoln the night before the tournament (except for Omaha Westside, and I question the judgement of the Westside administration in allowing their kids to "sleep in their own beds" when they are fully aware of the blizzard that was approaching). Other than that I thought KMTV did a fantastic job covering the storm from start to finish...and this comes from someone who generally watches KETV.

I agree with Michael. KMTV did have pretty good coverage. But, I too, was very disappointed with Williams's Tenopir interview (after that, I changed the channel)! I couldn't believe her in-your-face, rude attitude towards him. He handled it very well.
Roncali had the good sense to leave for Lincoln last night - It's Westside's fault they didn't go early. Yes, there were some inconveniences and disappointments because parents/classmates/community members couldn't watch their beloved team play. But, everyone's safe and anyone who's been involved with any of the state tournaments knows that the show still goes on in March in Nebraska. Pay attention to weather reports, deal with it and don't blame the NSAA!

I think wowt.com has greatly improved their appearance. Though I don't like their station's news format or personnel, I think they have an impressive website and they seem to be first with posting new stories more often than ketv.com.

The most disappointing station/ website in town is action3news.com. (Even kptm.com has a better site than 3's.) They proclaim themselves as the station for breaking news and first warning weather...but don't follow through. I do like their new co-anchors, though. Not a big fan of their sports director.

I always enjoy it when the newscasts have to have a reporterette out in the blowing snow, so it can be proven to the viewer that they are not fibbing about the weather.

It's as if we are dumb, and will only believe them if they prove it by standing outside.

Hey, dumbass... if ever there was a great opportunity for a live shot, it's during a major snow storm!

HOW MUCH DID IT SNOW? Come on media websites! How about including this basic info on your sites.

Channel 3 definitely had the best storm coverage yesterday. I'm normally not a big Channel 3 fan, but I'm really starting to like this Action 3 news and the new anchors.

Too bad KFAB wins the radio wars by default. Not everyone was home watching the storm from their couch. Thousands were in their cars. KFAB did a great job but it would have been nice if KKAR or some of the other stations provided the local service.
