Jeremy Campbell, the producer of "Todd and Tyler's Radio Empire" on KEZO (92.3 FM) and two other stations, will work his last day on the show March 2.
"Jeremy has done a great job helping grow the show over the years," said Tom Land, Director of Radio Programming for Journal Broadcast Group in Omaha. "As we continue growing the network syndication, the responsibilities of the position have changed."
The job listing for Campbell's replacement, as posted on Journal's website says the ideal candidate "must be creative, gravitate to pop culture, news, politics, entertainment, sports and the big story of the day." Candidates must also have three to five years minimum experience in radio with a winning track record required, along with digital editing production skills and Internet skills.

What?! What a stupid decision, Journal! Jeremy does a great job, is a part of the show and cleaned up behind the scenes. Why aren't T & T putting a stop to this? They're the Journal cash cow and I believe if they spoke up, this wouldn't happen. Don't tell me they're allowing this-that would suck. Rock on, Jeremy...
What the heck? This kid was loyal to them and they are cutting him at the knees? Does he retain a position at Journal? His family just had a kid. Wow. Nice job TnT. He was part of the dang show for goodness sake. Wow.

Get rid of Jeremy and Keep Trav? That is not smart. Actually, I quit listening, got tired of Husker bashing all the time and then when I tried to go back, after the empire, it was really boring and pretty bland. Too bad, I listened every day for the last 10 years.

Wait a minute, isn't this the tried & true Journal method for 'improving' ratings? Fire talent and bring in new younger replacements? Granted, you couldn't replace Weenie & the Butt or all the potheads, Democrats, drywallers and roofers would find other places to listen to a limited 70s playlist after 10 AM.
Show is unlistenable now - I stopped after the "Empire" was launched. Those two are aging out of the demographic they're attempting to play to. Kind of sad to constantly recall your drug use & constant drinking for a few listeners on the lower end of the socio-economic scale who appreciate fart noises. Bet their kids will be/are so proud of daddies career!
I'd be nervous if I were TNT. With the way Journal operates, the first sign of lower ratings & their high priced butts will be exliled to Akron while automation will be running Z92. Give them 1 more year at the most.
Its the shelf life expectancy of working on the TNT show. Usually around the 3-4 year mark is when 'the job' ends for anyone involved or begins to go sour for whatever reason and shortly thereafter they are out the door...producer and news staff....take a look at the last two producers as well as the last two people filling the news slot. Whomever assumes this position...I hope he/she knows they will only be around for 3-4 years.
Jeremy deserves better.
Work for pennies. Outside of TnT on the Z, that's the first and most important job qualification.

The show was much better when it was a local show. much much better. this sucks. i mean, why does the guy who bangs craig's mom call if he can't even reference who he is banging?
Ever since TNT started syndication, the show has gone down hill. TNT seems alot more watered down than it did before. Overall, I think they made a big mistake changing it from a local show. It will only be a matter of time before the show gets pulled.
Also, the new announcer sucks. Bring back the big voice guy. The new announcer is annoying.

I can see some of what you say, if push comes to shove TnT will only watch out for themselves. I don't see them wanting to bring in someone more talented on the air than Jeremy. They have always said that it's the Todd and Tyler show and that's it. They would not willingly let anyone else with talent share airtime with them regularly unless they are a guess passing through. Just look who has been with them the longest and how little talent he has.
I was hoping that the new PD wouldn't be as 'in love' with tnt as Lester was and that the replay would end, the tnt weekends would end and that Z would notice that there ARE other jocks working there. I never expected that he would allow Jeremy to be fired. I was hoping that he would get a co-host and replace tnt!
Speaking of new program director, is the Z still playing Ozzie Osbourne every other song?
Maybe he got sick of hearing them talk about the affiliation of Rollergirls and lesbians.
