Missouri Storm Cripples Part of 'TNT Empire'

The sleet and ice storm that pounded parts of Missouri Friday through Sunday is having a trickle-down effect on Omaha radio station KEZO (92.3 FM).

Springfield radio station KZRQ (106.7 FM) is one of two affiliate stations in "Todd and Tyler's Radio Empire."

"The Ozark's Pure Rock" station only regained power to its building and studios Wednesday morning.

"However, we still do not have power to our transmitter," said Journal Broadcast Group Director of Radio Programming Tom Land. "We are working on this, but much of the market is in the same situation."

SpringfieldLand said he is hopeful that the station will be back on the air by Thursday.

Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt said he believes Springfield is the hardest hit city in the state. As of Tuesday night, more than 35,000 utility customers remained without power and about 400 members of the Missouri National Guard were called in to work on removing debris and going house to house to check on people.

"The ice storm has crippled that community far more than you'll see or hear on national TV or radio broadcasts," Land said.

Coincidentally, when people stop listening to Todd and Tyler, they gain 74 IQ points. When they resume listening, these people have to put in the sun and watered.

They really do suck. Ten minutes of pot smoking and putting everything/everyone down is enough for me.

TnT used to be hilarious -- but one can only hear so many jokes about sex, anti-Husker football comments and more jokes about sex before they come to the realization that this is no longer worth listening to.

I stopped listening to TnT four years ago -- my I.Q. has risen 30 points since then. I would highly recommend it to anybody stuck in mental mediocrity...

Some of the topics that made them so funny are now "off limits"

They can't talk about the Omaha scene or the Huskers. Now all we hear them talk about are their pot smoking and getting Craig laid.

Todd & Tyler? Who are these people? I've been so busy listening to Sirius that I can't recall those names.

For years Todd and Tyler told their audience to listen to them instead of syndicated program because they(TNT) were here and talked about local news and events.
Now they are "syndicated"/saving Journal money(still waiting for those non-JBG stations to come into the empire) and go out of their way not to mention anything locally. Why should I be listening now?

I got sick of listening to them because all they ever talked about was how great they are. They honestly think they are the reason the Qwest Center was built.
