Witty Named VP, GM of Husker Sports Network

David Witty is the new Vice President and General Manager of Host Communications' Husker Sports Network.

Witty comes to HOST after 21 years with the Kansas City Royals. He replaces Kevin Moore, who resigned to pursue other opportunities.

"David's extensive background in sports marketing makes him a tremendous addition to Host Communications and The Husker Sports Network," said Host Communications CEO and President Tom Stultz in a press release. "David has a passion for Nebraska athletics and has strong ties to the state. He is a well-respected industry leader and we are delighted he has decided to join our Nebraska property."

After joining the Kansas City Royals as a public relations intern in 1986, Witty advanced through the organization to the position of Vice President of Communications and Marketing. He also served as the Vice President of Operations and Public Relations of the Royals Sports Television Network (RSTN), LLC, which was developed in 2003.

Witty is a 1985 Kansas State University graduate and has a masters degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University in Miami.
