For as many personnel changes as KMTV (Cox Channel 5) has made in the past dozen years, one thing has remained current: Nancy Rips. The Bookworm Bookstore's literary expert began making regular guest appearances on KMTV news programs in December of 1994.Rips can currently be seen once a month on "Action 3 News at Midday" with Mary Williams. She is a past Volunteer of the Year award recipient from the Jewish Federation of Omaha, participated in a panel at this year's BookExpo America (the publishing industry's largest trade show) and annually organizes a book-themed New York City tour for Nebraskans.
