Thursday's Kansas City-Denver Game Not On CBS

NFL Network LogoThe traditional National Football League games on Thanksgiving Day get a new wrinkle this year. For the first time, the NFL is offering three games on Thursday: Miami at Detroit, Tampa Bay at Dallas and Denver at Kansas City.

The Denver-Kansas City game marks the NFL Network's first live broadcast of a game. It will also be one of the few times an AFC game is not shown on CBS Sports. Bryant Gumbel (play-by-play) and Cris Collinsworth (analyst) will call the action and pre- and post-game shows will be hosted by Rich Eisen.

Thursday's "Turkey Tussle" on the NFL Network kicks off an eight-game package of live broadcasts on the network. The NFL Network can be seen by Cox digital cable subscribers on Channel 223.

Few times????

Howabout every time Oakland-Denver, Oakland-KC, etc have played on Monday Night or Sunday night on ABC or ESPN?

The NFL Network games are new, but the AFC parallel is far-fetched.

Sure wish we could see it in Lincoln but Time Warner has decided to screw its subscribers. No NFL Network, no ESPNU. Great cable system we have here!

I traveled from the CO area to N. Carolina and am totally disappointed that I won't be seeing the game--just because the local Comcast Co. is not going to broadcast it. What a bunch of hogwash!!!!
