NBC Universal notified its affiliates Friday that it intends to expand the "Today" show to a fourth hour, beginning this fall.
Currently, NBC's Omaha affiliate, WOWT (Cox Channel 8), broadcasts "The Dr. Keith Ablow Show" from 10 to 11 a.m. The choice to broadcast the program's fourth hour will be left up to affiliates.
More details are expected to be released Wednesday at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif.

3 hours is way long enough....
yeah, no manure!
How about the opposite - scale back to 2 hours. The show sucks.
I heard that adding this extra hour would lead to them cancelling my soap "Passions". I like that show.
Add another hour of "Today" and they can call it "Tomorrow"...
Four hours of Merredith? Oh no.
It is still on the air? Huh. Didn't know that.
Folks, when you don't have programmers that get good shows to deliver ratings, you take what little you have, and milk it. Look at Todd and Tyler; nothing beyond their show gets ratings, therefore, Z92 has to play 3rd shift replays, weekend replays, night replays, etc.
Even FOX is getting in on the morning show action on jan 22 but sorry not in nebraska....yet.
