Whoop-dee-do.
Damn you people are catty.....envy is such an ugly emotion. YOU GO GIRL!
And for the record, I am NOT Brian Mastre.
...she started back in the late 90s, when TV news was just getting started. *YAWN*
I have seen her belly dance; that is why I will be checking in for eye surgery tomorrow....to have them gouged out.
Think about the children, Sheila....spare them their vision.
Damn; baby got mad gums in dat photo. Damn.
WHO CARES!!
Sheila Gummer.
Sean, Is it really necessary to allow such juvenile, snarky postings on your blog? Use your delete privileges to knock some of this stuff out. Call me old school, but this personal stuff with Sheila is unnecessarily hurtful. If the spineless weasels who want to post junior high insults want to start their own blogs so be it, but don't let this crap demean yours. This is not about free speech, this is about treating people with dignity. I hope I'm not overestimating you Sean -- I thought you really wanted the blog to provide good information and promote good discussion --not continue on Ted's bashing tradition. Who knows, maybe your connection to Ted is closer than you've led on.
Captain Dillhofer, your definition of free speech is anything you agree with. Free speech allows for anyone's opinion or views to be expressed, unless it is threatening an illegal activity against a person, or stating an untruth.
Personally, I like Sheila Brummer, but she is a bit "gummy", as it were. When a TV anchor person is on the air, they are presenting their looks and reading ability to the viewer. So, she's got a surplus of gum tissue. So what? You're talking about dignity, yet you are losing yours by the minute.
I agree with the Captain. We shouldn't be putting down people. This blog should be held to a more noble purpose. Like, maybe we should all put our heads together and come up with a solution for poor Sheila. Maybe there's a radical gum reduction surgery proceedure she can undergo.
Free speech ? Yeah Im glad we are free to criticize Sheila's gums. Yes what a great exercise of free speech that is. Did I say anything about making it illegal ? And by the way, everybody's hero,Ted Brockman, was the biggest hypocrite of all --deleting any post that got under his rather thin skin (pretty ironic since we supposedly don't know who he is). I loved the advice he and his cronies gave to his critics -- get your own blog. Yeah we got some real champions of free speech here.
People, people, people. Settle down. These people put themselves on the air and in so doing are going to be subject to comments, both negative and positive. It is part of being on air. I've been criticized and panned and I've been praised for my on air presence. It goes with the territory. Sometimes, as an anchorperson one has to sit back and just laugh at themselves and not take these comments so seriously. I think mostly what drives the negative is envy, and I'm sorry that several people feel that way. However they are still watching and that is all that matters.
Peace to all. Out.
