KETV (Cox Channel 9) "First News" on-air personality Veronica Todd worked her last day at the station Friday.
Since July, Todd had delivered "Hot Clicks" reports on "First News" and substituted for traffic reporter Jana Murrell. But the early-morning hours began to take their toll, Todd said Tuesday.
"I was burned out on those hours, getting up at 3:30 or 4 in the morning," she said. "It was only two hours a day, but that's a hard shift."
Todd, who has three children, said she has "other things" in the works, but declined to elaborate. Her work experience includes TV commercials and corporate speeches.
"I didn't leave on bad terms," Todd said, "so if I'm in town, I might fill in again sometime for Jana."

Maybe that's why there's a job listing in the paper.
My God! Three kids?! She looks like she's 20 years old!
And, no, the opening at KETV is to finally fill in for Tom Elser. The budget is now allowing to replace him, or to move someone up and replace that reporter.
They just hired Lisa Stites also It sound like she is taking Tom Elser's spot.
Get rid of Fazal and we'll all be happier
Corporate speeches, who in the hell would hire her to speak at their company? She couldn't even get the traffic report right without screwing it up five times within the 30 seconds she spoke.
