Radio & Records reports that former KMTV general manager Jim McKernan has been hired as the Vice President and General Manager for CBS Radio Holdings Inc. stations KEZK-FM and KYKY-FM in St. Louis.McKernan replaces Beth Davis, who left CBS Radio for a new role with Clear Channel/Chicago in January. R&R reports McKernan begins his new position April 3.
McKernan left KMTV prior to the Journal Broadcast Group's acquisition of the CBS affiliate from Emmis Communications. He had previously worked for Journal (where KEZO morning duo Todd and Tyler referred to him as "General Jim") and Pappas Telecasting in Omaha.
